Wow... I don't feel so bad...
A few weeks back I bought a "new" old dash for my 37 for around $30, then the other day took it to a U-Blast place and spent just $20 blasting it down to bare metal again...
Their price is only $50 an hour but I have learned how to work
real quick when I am in there despite a total lack of experience (this was only my second time sandblasting anything, the
tailgate Alvin sent me a few months back being the first time!) and did a pretty
good job cleaning it up ...
I often wish I had a big sandblasting cabinet to do big parts like this, but after hearing all the hassle and expense mentioned here I may be better of spending the $50 and using someone else's stuff as I am!
