I went back and viewed the video again, and you may be right, there's a reddish brown cloud under the Impala. Sure sign of rust.
I once took a 92 Buick Roadmaster Station Wagon (the proverbial land barge, right? and built like a brick #### house) to a demolition derby. Actually won the first round, but in the second was disabled when a rusty upper suspension-arm gave out and cause a severe case of toe-in and I couldn't move.
