You may have it wrong.. look and see what side looks like it'll have more room at the bolts.
Also possible with a rebuilt clutch that that disc just plain won't fit, could be wrong parts used, or assembled wrong.. just guessing.

In any case you've done a fine job trouble shooting thus far. Don't assume anything is good or right without proving it.
