Ray,
If you "Use Full Editor", there is an option on the right of the edit window/menu (a globe with a chain-link under it). That allows us to put URLs/web-addresses in a message with a short name of the link/purpose.
Your very long links/web-addresses mess up some peoples' browser viewing - they have to scroll to the far right because your long URL, which for some reason, does not "word wrap".
