Well if you can't get any movement or noise just study other cylinders and see if you see any small difference in looks, position of parts, color, wear pattern, chips, rubs, heat burnish, with super powerful light, bla bla bla...take some pics for yourself.
Would it make sense to rotate motor and crawl back under a few times to get different stroke positions?
