When we took our squadron of AV8A's on the Rosey for it's last Med cruise, our primary fighter was the F4. You ain't lived until you've been on the flight deck when one goes full afterburner to launch. The flames would hit the JBD then deflect up another 30-50'. Night launches were awesome.....
