We have a place at the Lake of the Ozarks and it is not uncommon to see a pair of A-10's flying low over the lake.
I assume they are coming out of Whiteman AFB in western Missouri and headed to the Ozark mountains to practice maneuvers.
Well last Sunday, two went over headed southeast toward the Mountains.
About half hour later, they came back up the lake probably about 300 feet off the water and were getting it on.
The lake curves a lot and we are on the out side of the bend.
I was on the dock ramp and the wife was on the deck.
As soon as I seen the first one, it was already banking hard and all we could see was the underside of the fighter.
The second came around the bend just a couple seconds later.
I had both arms up giving the thumbs up and I think the second one may have seen us before he banked.
This all happened in about 6 seconds.
What an impressive sight.
The wife asked me why they were flying sideways.
The weren't 90 degrees to the water, but close to it.
Like I said they were getting it on.
Just want to THANK everyone for their service in whatever part of the Military they served in.
