Find a piece of glass like an old windowpane that will support the pushrod almost end to end, and roll it over the glass. When you find the bent spot, clamp the pushrod in a smooth-jaw vise and gently tweak the bend out of it. Making several small adjustments is better than over-bending it and having to flex it excessively.
