Yes, there are two different starter nose cones, depending on the tooth count of the flywheel. One has the bolts directly across from each other, and the other has staggered bolts. I don't remember which is which. Unless you're shaving weight on a race car, the mini starter isn't a good choice. It's actually a Nissan or Toyota starter with a planetary gear set grafted on. It's noisy, and the ones I've used in racing applications don't last long.
