Guys, what great help your replies are! Fortunately my SIL has years of experience as a restoration mechanic, and we will be relying on his guidance and skills for many crucial steps in this process. So now Job One is the search for a suitable cab - that hones our focus in a very helpful way. As I see it, once we have a suitable cab we can figure out the options for a donor chassis.
