Justhorsen ... yes, suspect it's in the tranny and it's just 2nd gear (I think)... Joker, I've put about 300 miles on it over the last year I have owned it and it's always made the noise. I don't think it's driveshaft, reason as follows: with the clutch in, the input end of the tranny stops rotating, but I still have noise (the driveshaft makes the tranny still turn). When out of gear, some portion of the trans stops turning and it stops the noise ... but the driveshaft is still rotating (with no noise). So it's probably in the trans and I guess until it "go boom" I will probably ignore it.
