the rad was positioned further back for the V8 with sheet metal shrouding" above and below, as
seen here .... you should be able to easily put the 327 in with the original style
front "bird legs" mounts, no headaches with the rad in the 6 cyl position, then add an aftermarket shroud
like on this 56 panel [or suffer overheating] .... you might also get aftermarket sidemount setups, but those usually interfere with the parking brake mechanism
