If no further info coming my way, I'm probably just going to yank the wheel cylinder and hose to satisfy my curiosity (it's gotta get done anyway).
It's what I did in the old days, then took the part to the local supplier for a match. But as some have already said, countermen[kids] today are too busy to oblige.
