Installed a new sending unit, new ground from sending unit to truck frame, new 12 volt gas gauge ( recent 12 volt conversion). Have just under full tank. Ignition on and enging running gas gauge remains in just over 1/2 tank- needle has been there since I installed it. Any ideas? Shouldn't the gauge read empty when ignition off?
