Just take it one step at a time...

1. Get a copy of Old Car Price Guide and see what they value the truck at before paying someone. I'd say your condition is the lowest #6

2. Call your insurance agent and see what a bond will cost using that OCPG figure (times 2 per the DMV), they are not that expensive.

3. Have the living owner of the farm write the letter that they got it with the farm as abandoned property, which is true and keep knocking the pegs down one at a time...

As a last resort you you can pay a title service to help you out...they advertise in Hemmings.
