| | | | Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 586 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Jul 2003 Posts: 586 | When I did my bed I put 3 or 4 coats of clear. I used fine sandpaper between each coat. I'm not a painter but I would use a 600grit paper and remove all the gunk you have. Then shoot on the clear. I don't think the clay bar is going to be any easier than the polishing compound.
