I painted the bed of my truck last summer (it is off of the truck) with bc/cc and it has been sitting in the yard every since. I was hoping to finish the rest of the truck last year but I had an accident and was unable to get it done. The bed is really nasty from stuff getting on it and washing will not remove everything. I have tried polishing compound but that is slow going and very time consuming.
Is it possible to wet sand with a very fine paper to remove the surface gunk and then shoot clear on it again? Does anyone have any experience with the clay that is used to clean paint surfaces, if so, how good does it work?
