I gave up attempting to drive that dowel in on my '61 motor. Probably the best method would be to drill it out, also I was thinking of threading the hole so you could remove it at some point? I'm sure someone here has a better method re. moving this pin. Maybe pre68Dave will come along with his 2 cents?
