That warning from Beck's might be pertinent with a car 235 engine.
It's not.
I have been hand refacing all solid and hydraulic lifter rocker arms for about 30 years and have not seen any problem (and I have done a lot). If enough angle in the wrong direction is ground, I can in theory see where this could happen.
