I use the hammer type finish on early series AD radios. I bought mine at a local automotive/general supply house. the result varies with your technique. Some times flowing it on gives a good pronounced hammer affect. If you go over it again, sometimes it will look almost like regular paint. Probably practice is the best bet to success here.
