Jake - I used spray bomb primer on somea the things, not on others - inside it's not as important as when exposed to the elements - some things on the 57 got primered at the next door body shop when apart getting tin bashed - I drive these trucks, so not looking for show quality, just something that'll make'em last and be 'presentable' - I do 'resurrections' not restorations grin the important part on a heater is actually the inside which is where they corrode first due to condensation and leaks, and I've used the zinc based weld-thru spray bombs for that
