I bought a quart from JC and they advertize it as the original hammered interior color for the '40. I will try it and let you all know.
The Kilz hammerite product looks a little more like cottage cheeze then the original fish eye/marblely look.
Thanks for the tip on the heater. I hadn't thought that far ahead yet but I think it also has the hammered look.
This is just one big learning experience!!!
