Good points MARTINSR. I butt weld because I can but it wasn't always that way. I remember using pop rivets and galvanized sheet metal and lots of bondo a LONG time ago. It's one of those evolutionary things. I figured you knew what Clecos were, I was responding primarily to Splashoil. Now I'm wondering if something like a Cleco was ever made for butt welding.
