MARTINSR, are older Craftsman body hammers and dollies any good for ocassional use? I might be able to get some at a reasonable price, they look to be from the '60s.
Eastwood sells a shrinking hammer with a cam-driven rotating head. Is this just a POS gimmick, or does it really work? I might be able to get one of those for a good price, too.
On the cheap tool discussion, I have ocassionaly found some decent stuff at places like Harbor Freight. Not good enough for daily shop use, but okay for my purposes. For example, I have metric and SAE flare wrench sets that I picked up at HF, and they have always worked fine. If they break, I'll buy some Craftsman replacements. I agree, though, that most of their stuff is total junk, unless it is a name brand.
