And you never know, maybe he was using that old choked down 235
carb on that 261 because it fit the same base. Maybe that 261
was an old tired truck engine that had seen better days.
That engine will put out more hp & torque than the 235 or they
wouldn't have used them in trucks buses and cars for a decade
even after the advent of the small block.
