Its a personal thing with me guys, and I've driven a lot of different vehicles in my life, but to down shift without a GOOD valid reason goes against my logic. Back in high school I had a couple buddies who would always cram the tranny into a lower gear when slowing down an stopping. To hear the engine scream and rev up was,to me, un-called for......but I will admit, there are times it may be called for but to do it as a habit is hard for me to understand.
