Just to clarify the previous post:
1. EFI was only 1 of the improvements
2. the conversion didn't improve mixture distribution between cylinders since the original manifold was used
3. IMO almost all of the EFI gain is due to reduced pumping loss and improved VE - which can easily be obtained with a larger carburetor.
