Sorry, I couldn't resist.
Put in galvanized 10 years ago and have not had any problems. I keep it drained and have a water separator. So far so good.
On the other hand my nephew and I ran PVC in his shop 10 years ago and he's had no problems. However, just for "some" safety, we ran it overhead in the ceiling and came down the way with steel pipe.
