My genetic make-up (the laziness gene) guides me to the KISS solution. My black pipe run (50 feet lateral run), meets my simple-minded criteria:
- cheap but safe/strong
- installable by me (with a few good pipe/monkey wrenches)
- long run from an isolated room aids water elimination
- compressor a good distance away from work area
- no moisture problems
- impresses my friends (looks good and makes sense for moisture elimination).
- a rise/drop (and output connections) at 4 joints (KISS).
The shop/garage in the house we are buying in NC has a pressure-rated plastic-line system (modern muscle car enthusiast). That set-up scares me.
