I've run into another puzzle in getting my bed assembled (51 1/2 ton). I referred to the archives
and see mention of plates attached to the cross sills. The text infers that these plates rest on the wooden spacer blocks, but they are not shown on the illustration. I just want to confirm that these "plates" are actually the pieces that slide onto the cross-sill channels, and that they must be drilled to allow the long 12" bolts to pass through the bedwood, cross sill, plate, spacer block and frame. Thanks in advance.
