has anybody out there actually done this (i.e.; rattle can Zero-rust, primer months or years later, then top coat)? I would be curious to hear how it worked and what primer/top coat paint they used in the end. I too have a lot of parts sitting in my basement in rattle can zero-rust to buy me time. All the talk around here lately has me a bit worried. I either blasted the or chem stripped them to bare metal then put a coat of Zero Rust on them to buy me time. I do not have a compressor or HVLP turbine/sprayer. My intent was to either find someplace I could rent time in a booth or rent or purchase a HVLP turbine and set up my garage to spray the primer and have someone who know what they are doing spray the top coat.
