Red, those Buicks did a good job of guzzling gas with one carb- - - -I'm sure another one would just add to the problem. Straight-8 engines in general were gas hogs, Pontiac, Buick, Hudson, Oldsmobile, Packard, etc. I worked on a mid-1930's Buick 8 several years ago that was almost identical to the engines they used into the early 1950's.
