Ok , I would really appreciate opinions on this....
In case you dont know, I just picked a 1957 3800 pick up long bed. Mostly original , and I got the 235 running fairly well.
This build on the panel has gotten pretty crazy.
I am thinking about taking running 235 out of 1957 pick up , put it in the panel truck....
Then put the 455 in the rat rod pick up. Sleeper Farm truck style.
Before I got everything ready to put 455 in panel , I had been looking for a 1957 235. Makes more sense to have the family capable vehicle with straight 6 and be closer to original. Most people swap 216 out for 235s anyways.
This would also speed up the build on the panel and get it moving on its own power for the first time since I was a lil boy....
Also there is some friction starting between the shop owner and myself, and before it affects our friendship, I am thinking about getting it out of there asap.
I wish I had those fentons still.
Keep power steering , put stock rebuilt axle back under. I might keep 4x4. Get a new drag link and the adapter piece, not much investment there. mod the gauges for 12v etc....
Then for the Tf pick up, build a sleeper farm truck...
What do you guys think?
