If you keep the intake hot, the fuel droplets will stay atomized. When a fuel mixture hits a cool or cold surface, it sticks and pools on the floor. If the floor is scalding hot, it vaporized right back and continues down the runners.
In a warm dry area, you won't see a problem, but add in some humidity and cooler air, you get big time icing and stumbling.
