The 375 hp I am refering to is the camshaft I was running. It was used in the 375hp 327 in the Corvette. We used to call it the "30/30" cam, it was the biggest cam a guy could get for his small block back then for cheap, like $18! The valve clearances were .030 on intake and exhaust, (solid lifters) when you had them set correctly, you had a nice lope and sweet lifter music. The really cool Corvette aluminum valve covers were $7 from the Chev parts dept! I was probably lucky if my 283 put out 250hp. Used to do real good street racing until they brought out the GTO, then it was all over for my little shoebox.
