All I can remember, (50 years ago) was that the tripower was very smooth running, on my car. I got it used from somebody, and it had been used very little before I got it. Evidently I was very lucky and got a set that had been setup correctly. I know the car was faster with the AFB carb, but had been modified with a 375hp 30/30 cam and fenderwell headers at that time. Sorry I can't help much.
