I found a carbide tip for the gun but I cant recall where. It was so many years ago and I still use the same one. (below)
I hear so many people taking about #1 silica sand causing health problems, but they never assess the alternatives, so here's a valuable tip.. wear the appropriate respirator no matter what you are using. The stuff I pay $5 a bag for is Quikcrete's #1 silica sand. Its SAND! So when used outside, it just disappears. I use a tarp and two 4x8 sheets of plywood set to make a corner to trap the sand so I can reuse after screening.
