Its a brand new latch too, Ill take it apart tonight and look at it. Has anyone else had a similar problem or a quick fix for this? | | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 3,596 | Are you using the original latch? They can get very dirty and weather beaten due to their location. I would suggest cleaning the latch mechanism if you have not done so. I would guess the lock mechanism was rarely used on many of these trucks. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 122 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 122 | Its a new latch from Classic parts, it feels more like it needs to be "worn" in | | | | | Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 252 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Sep 2010 Posts: 252 | I am having the exact same problem with a new latch I bought for my '51 from JC. I gave up and reworked the old latch and installed and it works fine now. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 122 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 122 | I was having the same issue with the brand new drivers side as well. Well when I thought I fixed it, it ended up busting apart | | |
