For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 42 New Guy | | New Guy Joined: Feb 2013 Posts: 42 | This would be useful on my hilly 40 acres. With a gearing match to the low end of the eaton rear end, it'd be great.
Anyone seen this kind of thing? Is there a relatively easy path? What transfer case, what front end..? | | | | | Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 23 Wrench Fetcher | | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Oct 2013 Posts: 23 | Easiest path I might think would be to find an old M135 or M211 and pull the front an rearmost axles, transfer case and driveshafts. Transfer case on these are separate from the trans.Get everything at one shot. Been toying with a similar idea for my 70 C50. | | | | | Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Nov 2010 Posts: 1,159 | Another way, would be to find a later model Chevy/G.M.C.2-3-ton,already set-up with A.W.D. Municipalities, airports, and utility company auctions would be a source for one. I've seen a few advertised in local "Truck Trader" type mag's as well. | | |
