I have purchased a new grille for my 1949 4400 Chev but they don't come with Vertical Grille Supports. Does any have a set that I can buy?
These parts are impossible to find in Australia.
Thanks

If so, it won't fit your Big Bolt as is. | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 31 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 31 | Spanky,

Can you not use the verticals from your original grille, or did your truck not have a grille ? You'll definitely need the vertical supports from a big truck grille. they will be taller. | | | | Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 31 Wrench Fetcher | Wrench Fetcher Joined: Jun 2012 Posts: 31 | Yeah They are the only one i can find. I have got hold of them and they have some second hand ones about $150 shipped to australia so I have gone with those thanks.

Its a bit rough but fixes up OK ready for chroming. The one I received is made in Argentina. The bars on the big bolts are two inch high and on the smaller trucks, one and three quarter inch. I think the lengths are the same or close enough. I can measure anything you want if you need a cross check. In I have the original grille here. Also I recommend a grille fastener kit, they have a load of bespoke fasteners.
