I need to replace my heater core. I have a 53 Chev. 3100 with a heater like this
http://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-F...AAAAnI/-mOHedBRnuo/s1024-no/IMG_9424.JPG

Has anyone purchased one new for this heater and, if so, where. Some of the suppliers I have tried show the core in their catalog but are out of stock.

According to Dads50[whose photo this is, Thanks]it is a H-02-47 heater.

That heater without the vertical vent door next to the inner cowl panel, is the one that the aftermarket has addressed in reproduction heater cores. Jim Carter, Classic parts, Brother's, LMC, and others should have a new one for you.

I have had good luck having several heater cores redone with the original tanks and new cores by the same local shop that re-cores my radiators. That way, I know it's all top-notch USA rather than some Asian import. Spike Radiator, Denver,CO (303) 762-7522

Red, your right. I seen it when Peggy posted it..... BUT I do remember a post for another place. Not sure what years were covered but there was one.
I'm busy as a cat on a tin roof right now but if I get snowed in maybe I have it in my archives somewhere and I'll see if I can find it. Thanks for posting about BrassWorks, which is one of the latest added links.
