Is the cab on a '46 1/2 ton the same size as a 1-1/2 ton cab? I know the fenders are different, but are the grill, dash, seats and interior panels inter-changeable? Will 1/2 ton front fenders bolt up properly to a 1-1/2 ton cab and vice versa?

Hy 41flatbed, the cabs for the conventional trucks you are asking about are all the same, all the 41-46 grilles for conventional trucks are the same, hope that helps

Near as I can tell, all the front end body parts are the same except for the fenders. They are different. I believe the 1/2T & 3/4T are the same, but the 1T & 2T each have progressively larger fenders. That said, they can be swapped as a few folks have put the larger fenders on smaller trucks.

If anyone else has better info, please share it.

The 1/2 and 3/4 ton trucks are exactly the same with the exception of bed length. The larger trucks have larger fenders, but you can swap either way. Not sure if the running boards are different.

My experience with 1/2 and 3/4 ton front fenders is that while they may look the same there is a different contour where it bolts to the running board. You could make it work but slightly different.

Thanks 3B.
I have a very nice grill that came from a cab that has big fenders, but it's on a 3/4 ton frame. I'm attempting to put everything on a 1/2 ton frame that has a good 216 engine, transmission and working brakes.
My big problem will be finding steel 1/2 ton fenders (front).
Appreciate your help.

Thanks to all for your help. I can move on with other 1/2 ton items. i.e. fenders.
