Just picked up this series 1 1955 Chevy. Took a long time but finally got my buddy to part with it. He bought from original owner back in the 70's Was in his dads garage till a storm took out a tree that took out the garage. Truck sat outside for two years before I saved it. Not to figure out where to start to get it going. Needs some wiring work first. Engine is free with 19,000 original miles. Want to keep it stock and get it on the road and take it from there. Hope to find a lot of help on this site.

Eric, welcome to the Stovebolt. From the looks of those pictures you have a doggone pretty nice truck. Thanks for sharing your story.
Knowledge is the best resource and there is plenty of it here on the bolt as well as great folks to help out. See ya in the garage forums.

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile

Very nice truck Larry. Looks the same as mine without the corner windows on the cab. Brakes / Engine and then we will see where to go from there. Looks like a nice winter project. Hope to find a lot of information on here. Looks like the right site for my needs. Will probably be a PIA for a while while I research truck information and places for parts.

Welcome Eric, looks like a mighty fine truck. A bit of TLC here and there and you're good to go.
