Is the rear axle a single speed or a two speed, do you want the diff installation gasket or the cover gasket, and finally how many holes are in the gasket? | | | | | Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,961 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2008 Posts: 4,961 | Eaton and Meritor hasn't used a gasket on the 3rd member for many years. They use RTV silicone. We couldn't afford to use gaskets on our trucks anymore because the gaskets always weep and we would be written up for oil leaks. Use some Permatex RTV and you can forget about it. If you are worried about originality, just scrap the excess RTV off with a razor blade and no one can tell the difference. | | | | | Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 60 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jun 2009 Posts: 60 | 3b its for A 16,000 axle 2 speed.Napa has no cross for the gaskets. I found a few paper 3762399 GM part.and finally a few cork 3711464's all are in good shape. the 3762399 is bigger than my housing leading me 2 believe its for a 70/80 series but if they are any who need... let me know 1959 Chevy Viking 60 & WreckerIn the Stovebolt GallerySee I told you it would work. I tried to click-on your "link",but it doesn't work, The moderators suggest that you use a photo/video sharing site, examples being "Webshots",and "Photobucket".com,to name a couple. If you link directly to "Stovebolt.com",it causes issues. Hope to see some pic's,soon. Thanks!! | | |
