My son, the same one that put the oil holes facing up on the rocker shaft, probably didn't set the rods onto the ball end of the lifter. He also bent the oil feed tube. He's only 40 and has maybe never worked on an engine that didn't have overhead camshafts | | | | | Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Jan 2001 Posts: 5,337 | If it has solid lifters the push rods fit 1941-55 truck with 235 and 1953-55 pass with stick transmission and are 10 37/64" long.
If hydraulic they fit 1950-62 pass and are 11 1/4" long.
