Greased everything that could be greased. Tightened some nuts and bolts I found loose. Reset idle and reset the TPS. Bled the calipers again. Checked to see if the VSS was working. Tightened up the exhaust. Measured for a push bar.

popped in a new voltage regulator and new 12v headlights, drove over to norfolk to DOUMAR'S..it's a drive-in restaurant like sonic, but this one has been in norfolk since the 30s.. the trip to doumar's has been my personal goal for the truck when i bought it 6 months ago; i was to make the trip as soon as i got it road-ready. made the first run today and when i get there, they're closed hahah. not giving up, try again next weekend or the weekend after that

Took my 56 shortbox for its first long ride since starting on it a little over two years ago. Ran great! Can't wait to get the box on it before the snow flies.

Took the '46 on a bit of a shake down run today after new rebuilt head and cam job. She ran great, no probs now just putting this puzzle back together. I've had this pickup since late 70s, on 2nd motor, 4th trans and third rear end. All is well.

Installed the new fuel gauge. Jury is out on why it reads empty. More diagnosing when I have time. Finally got to my driver front bumper bracket. It had to be cut short to fit in front of the steering box. Only one bolt hole made it. I made enough mounting bracket way back when so that I could add a plate to the bumper bracket then drop a hole below the lonely hole that was left. Solid mounting, now. Installed the drivers side threshold plate with rubber. Need to re-clock the wipers.

Picked up a new oil sender from the Chevy dealer. The original (either came with the crate engine or was an after market sender I bought), always showed 25-30 lbs which is low for a 350 cid. My Yukon has always showed in the +70's. With the new sender my Oil pressure shows 75 lbs. Everything's copacetic.

Actually didn't do much to my 49 3100 except to take it out and enjoy it on a nice fall evening cruise grin

It's still mostly stock and based on how it sounded, felt and ran, it's happy spot is around 45 mph. I'm still getting used to it and it me. It's been moved to the 1st spot out of the shop, meaning it's 1st choice for cruising now. It doesn't hurt that the heat & electrics work good now as most cruises will be dusk to dark and on the chilly side.

It needs alot done but I'm going to enjoy it now for awhile grin

Mounted horn, moved gauges to my custom cluster, installed a 12v power port, had to put a little lift in the front springs, blew out all the desert sand and mud that has been falling in the back, added a little lift to the front coils and tested the pushbar. Doing more today after I pick my kid up from school. She wants me to pick her up in the ol' Suburban!

Not a happy camper! Spent the weekend trying to repair & replace parts damaged by battery acid! It was charging but for some reason spit acid all over the engine compartment. It messed up my shiny new Air Gap intake, valve cover, sparkplug wires & starter!!

Hung doors to check fit (both needed extensive rework...other treads out there covering that topic) before final prep for paint. Doors fit ok except for slight panel to door flushing out issues (not bad enough for me to correct. Main problem is I notice the passenger door bottom is too far from rocker panel at rear. Something is bent and I am too far along to fix at this point. Don't think the door seal is going to contact the rocker...crud! Wondering if it was like that from day one. This is the side of the truck that I had severe door fitment issues (again, see other threads).

53 Burb. Finished sanding/stripping rear fender inner panels, plan to spray them with por-15 this week. Started cleaning up rear roof/qtr seams, right side rusted through. Made up patch panel for that and got it welded in, left side will clean up with sandblasting. Got to get a lot done before the good weather goes away!!!

Went over to the garage I store the 37 and fired it up,it looks like its battery time as I had to go back home and get the battery charger. It only sat a month and did not have enough to start it,battery is about 5 years old so I will get one next spring.

Started reassembling the hood for my '52 restoration. Welded the hood braces back in (after fitting neoprene between brace and skin) and bolted the hood halves together. Welded up stress cracked metal and will start with skim coat of plastic filler soon.

second to last primer coat on door interiors done. Just need to final sand cab/doors interior to be ready for interior paint.
