Have had big bolts for years. I know the cab of my 46 is the same as a 1/2 ton, but what other body parts will swap onto a 1/2 ton frame (I have many "extras"). Thank you in advance, Scott

Hi,Scott! I've had a couple of friends that installed "big truck" fenders,on their 4X4 applications. One on a T.F.'55 Chevy 3/4 ton,and one on a '49 Studebaker 3/4-ton. They look good, when using over-size tires,(like 44" Mudders),but not so good, when using stock. you'd also have to either lift your body,or beef-up your suspension, for it to look right. Look at one of the newer 2-ton trucks, with the 1-ton-style wheels. ("U-hauls",roll-backs,etc.) The wheel openings are much bigger than the tires! I'm not sure about the '41-46,but I'd think the hoods ,(conventional),should inter-change,too.

Are the grills the same? Running boards? Thank you.

My understanding is that the grills and hoods are common to all '42 thru early '47 trucks (AD's came out mid '47). Fenders for 1/2 to 1 ton are the same for those years. 1-1/2 tons have larger fenders and 2 tons are bigger still.
Anybody confirm?

Pretty sure above 3/4 ton the front fender is shaped so it slopes up faster to the center of the wheel well. The 1/2 3/4 ton is almost flat across the front bottom when viewed from the front
