Finally registered to be official and part of this informative site! Been snooping for a long time and always found great answers.
My current project is a 1947 GMC 3/4 ton truck. This truck was purchased last summer in Montivideo Mn. One family ownership. Truck is currently all apart to start from the bottom up. Truck will maintain it's 63 year old patina but be a resto-rod. Modern suspension with a small (quiet) V8 under the hood. Interior will be as close to original including the BIG steering wheel.
My first question is; Who repops a gas tank for the 47 that fills through the side of the box? It is not the "square" looking tank. Much longer and thinner.
All comments welcome! In Big Rock Illinois. Thanks for any help you can give. Bruce "ctheusa" Thompson

I'd rather walk and carry a Chevy hub cap than ride in a Ferd.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you smile
