Sir, I recently MD titled an out of state '52 'Burb by having the out dated registration and VIN tag. It went thru even though I had no bill of sale and a 3rd party sold me the vehicle. If you are titling in state it should not be a big deal to photograph the VIN tag, provide a bill of sale, and even take the previous owner with you to the titling authorities. Don't do anything with the vehicle until you have it in your name. Why? Plenty of horror stories exists where time, money, and effort spent foolishly and when change ownership and unable to to so for complicated reasons. Good luck. V/R, Nick Cavallaro, Bel Air, MD
