Mongo has gotten a commitment from the Econolodge for $62.99 / night. If you have already made a reservation, you need to call them and let them know you are with the blocked rooms for "The All Truck Nationals" to get the reduced rate.

Update: American Classic Truck Parts is offering a $10 per night credit for the Stovebolters who are lodging with the group at the Econolodge. The credit will be issued at the time you check out. You MUST be on this list to get the credit (we'll be email the list to the management before we head to KC).

Here is the link from the Club's website that shows the information and location of the Econolodge.

Can folks let us know who will be staying there (or someplace else). We have had a sign-in book in the past, so we know if people have gotten there yet. AND ... where the rest of the gang is.

And for those who don't know ... we try to get everyone to stay at the same place because we usually go and "hang out" after the day's events. We prefer if folks are going to drink ... they can stumble to their room.

Here's the list:

1. John and Peggy Milliman - Econolodge - Wednesday to Sunday
2. Ed "DaOZ Tinman" Hoover - Econolodge - Friday to Sunday
3. Don "2 ton" King and Vicky - Econolodge - Thursday thru Saturday
4. John and Theresa Lucas, plus two guests - Thursday thru Sunday
5. Fred "truckernix" Nixon -- Thursday to Sunday
6. Mongo and Lisa Mosley -- Friday and Saturday
7. Jeff and Shelly Mosley -- Friday and Saturday
8. Terry "27Capitol" K and Gloria -- Friday and Saturday
9. Leo "1953 Panel" K -- Thursday to Sunday
10. Ron "We B Old" Steltz -- Thursday to Sunday
11. Joe "Amtrakjoe" Rago -- Thursday through Sunday
12. DJ "Tramp" Durant and friend - Saturday only
13 Steve "phantomgas" Bobst - Friday and Saturday
14. Dave "koolkar" Feltner

As you sign up, I'll update this.

Peggy

Fred,

I think Mongo has something he needs to square with these people. I will talk to them also tonight or tomorrow when I make our reservations. I will also know by tomorrow about the extra $10 off from one sponsor.

Updated the list to this point.

Gloria and I booked our room at the Econo lodge a while ago. Friday and Saturday night. We're staying in the room right next to Gloria's sister, Theresa and John Lucas. Run John...Run.... lol.

I had the same initial experience. This afternoon I phoned back and mentioned that I wish to be included in that block. She looked up my name and moved my reservation to the block and adjusted the rates. I don't know if this is relevant but my first contact was a male and the person that corrected the problem was a female.

Okay one and all ... two announcements.

Talked to the manager today (Hiral Bhakta) and the rooms are blocked under "All Truck Nationals" for the $62.99 daily rate. So, you will be covered but be sure to ask for the blocked rooms.

SECOND -- American Classic Truck Parts is offering a $10 credit per night for Stovebolters who stay at the Econo Lodge. You must be on this list (first post above) in order to get this credit. You will get the credit when you check out and we'll write the check for what American Classic Truck Parts owes then.

So, if anyone was sitting on the fence about coming ... $52.99 / night is a great price. American Classic Truck Parts can't be here in person but they are with us in spirit Pete said! Someday we'll have to drag him here from Texas.

Okay, I finally got a chance to check with the hotel. The gal said it is $72.98 per night which includes the tax. With the credit from American Classic Truck Parts, that will be $62.98 per night for Stovebolters.

Joe! Glad you are still going with John. I'll add you to the sheet.

Peggy,
So far, plans are that I'll be able to make it to the show on Sat. for just the one night and plan on bringing a friend with his 36' Chevy. I'll make the call to the Econolodge this evening and see if there are rooms still available. Thanks
Tramp

Tramp,

Added you to both lists (that way you'll get the American Classic Truck Parts credit for the night). Now, I just need to add you to the who's bringing a Bolt list.

(We were without computers for two days and it was nuts ... but we got farm work done!)
